A WhatsApp API you can build a product on

REST API with an OpenAPI spec, signed webhooks, SDKs for PHP, Node.js and Python, a sandbox workspace and a public status API.

Examples

Send a template

curl -X POST https://chatensy.in/api/v1/messages/template \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer tsc_live_..." \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"to": "+919876543210", "template": "order_update", "values": ["Priya", "#1042"]}'

Node.js SDK

const { Client } = require('chatensy');
const api = new Client({ apiKey: process.env.CHATENSY_API_KEY, baseUrl: 'https://chatensy.in' });
await api.sendTemplate('+919876543210', 'order_update', ['Priya', '#1042']);

What the API covers

Messages and templates

Send templates and session messages, list templates with their approval status, fetch message history with delivery statuses.

Contacts and events

Upsert contacts with consent proof, tag them, list and filter, and push store events like orders and abandoned carts to trigger journeys.

Webhooks

Subscribe to incoming messages, statuses, opt-ins, forms, payments, campaign completion and SLA breaches. Every delivery is HMAC-signed, retried and logged.

Journeys

List journeys and enrol a contact from your own system, with context fields the steps can use.

Sandbox

A separate workspace where inbound messages are simulated through the API, so you can test end to end without a real number.

Status API

A public JSON endpoint with the health of the app, queue, webhooks, scheduler and the WhatsApp connection.
